Description

Up for auction a rare The Jimi Hendrix Experience Electric Ladyland album.

This is a 2 LP set that was pressed in Holland. On the record is numbered 2488-207 and the album cover is labeled 2679 029.

This classic record was found in the archives of Jem records in a cancelled order for the old Rock and Roll station 102.7 WNEW FM from New York in the 1970's.

From 1971 through 1988 Jem Records, Inc. was one of the world's largest importer/exporters and distributors of records. Building on a business of importing and distributing British albums into the United States Jem grew to have office and warehouse locations from London to Los Angeles with the home office in South Plainfield, New Jersey. For a variety of reasons too complex to go into here, the Jem Records distribution division found itself in financial difficulty in the mid-1980s and went out business.

I am not a professional record collector but I will try to give you a description of the condition of this record.

This album has never seen a turntable or ever had a needle touch the vinyl. The records have stayed in the protective sleeves. The album cover still has its gloss. The whole album has been kept in a plastic protective sleeve.

This album is a must have for the serious record collector or Hendrix fan. Don't pass this one up. It is a real keeper and will make anyone proud.
