The Johnson Mountain Boys-Johnson Mountain Hoedown/When I Can Forget (Copper Creek Records 19??). Rare original bluegrass 45 from the Johnson Mountain Boys on the Copper Creek label out of Maryland. Johnson Mountain Hoedown is a rollicking bluegrass instrumental featuring fiddle and banjo while the flip is a back porch vocal tune that's backed by some banjo action. The record is a solid VG with non-feelable scratches and hairline scratches, scuffs and scuff marks. There is a light storage warp that tracks fine. Both sides play strong with a few scattered tics and clicks as well as some crackle. The labels are solid with paper loss spots, scratches, scuffs, light grime, and light overall wear. The labels and the record grooves were pressed off-center but this does not affect play. The old generic sleeve is autographed by the band members. This intact sleeve is a G+ with stains, age browning, handwriting, creases and bends, ring wear, and some small tears. A new plain white generic paper sleeve will be provided along with the autographed sleeve. Not sure when this record was released, but it is estimated to be from the late 1970s or early 1980s.
