Description

Recently a friend passed away, a few months ago now. His name was George Crotty, and many of you will know of him - he was a gem of a person, and aside from the obvious sadness involved in all that, he was renowned for having one of the best collections of 60's Garage, Beat, Punk, Surf & Psychedelic 7"s, EPs and LPs (especially of Australian artists) - gathered together meticulously and carefully for longer than the 36 year period I'd known him.

(Along with his intense passion for The Easybeats, George had a 'thing' for The Beatles, and British beat - in fact, as a 19 year-old in his native Serbia, while fronting a garage band by the name of The Q in 1965/early 1966, he was known as Nesa Bitls (pronounced Nesher Beatles), and the pix of him looking like one of The Beatles 1965 era are awesome - he looked SO damn cool.)

But all that aside, and as sad as it may be, the time has come now, to divide up and sell that collection - thus this very item is one of

GEORGE CROTTY'S PERSONAL COLLECTION,

...all of which will appear here over the next few weeks/months...Some of you who knew him or knew of him, would possibly be proud to own this and/or others of his collection, I imagine (I know I've kept a few special items myself...some lovely John Hammond LPs).

Anyway, you can guarantee he loved this - he was very particular with what he kept.
