Up for purchase is The KINK KRONIKLES, the 1972 two album set by The Kinks. It is on the original tan riverboat Reprise label, catalogue number 2XS 6454. Manufactured by ABKCO Records, Inc., Copyright (c) Warner Bros. Records Inc. This is the original, authentic, first U.S. pressing; this is not a record club album, a reissue or a counterfeit pressing. No Bar Code. Original, thick cardboard GATEFOLD cover with lyrics inside and plastic inner sleeves. The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. The sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied and vivid. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording! This album is long out of print and very difficult to find, especially in this condition!

The Kink Kronikles is a USA compilation double album of singles, B-sides, album tracks and previously unreleased tracks recorded by The Kinks between 1966 and 1970. In the list of compilation albums, it follows Greatest Hits! which covered material from 1964 to early 1966. The albums are in excellent condition with very few marks, all superficial and cosmetic that will not affect play. The only mark that is worth mentioning is on Side 1, and it isn't a scratch but more of a smudge. See last photo. The vinyl still has all the shine and luster of new, and the labels are clean with no stickers or damage. The gatefold album cover is in very good+ condition, having a couple of scuffs on the back of the cover, light shelf wear and very light ringwear. No splits, tears or writing. The plastic inner sleeves are in excellent condition with no splits, tears or writing (nothing but wrinkles). See photos for details. All of the records I am selling are from either my own personal collection or my brother's, and they have been in storage since the 1980's. One owner, from a smoke-free environment. We do not charge any handling fees and the shipping cost listed is our best estimate of what the actual shipping cost will be. On fragile items, the shipping cost includes insurance. Sometimes it costs more to ship the item than estimated and the additional cost comes out of our profit. On the rare occasion that the shipping cost paid is substantially more than the actual cost, we do refund that difference to the buyer.
