Description
This is a rare first pressing picture disc version of Kate Bush's The Kick Inside featuring two images of her one on each side of the disc. This is I believe one of the first pressings and is believed to be one of 3000 only. Evidence for this is as follows:
Side A lead out is inscribed "remember yourself". with number YAX 5389 - 4 on side A and YAX 5390 - 4 on side B. The cover sleeve has a round Picture Disc label (later versions had a oval shaped sticker) The copyright notice on the LP lacks the statement "manufactured in the UK by EMI records Ltd." which only featured on future pressings. The sleeve is laminated whereas later versions weren't.

I bought it in a record shop in Boscombe in the early eighties that had a niche in selling picture discs. I was hoping to build my own collection of picture discs but sadly the mortgage got in the way so this was the only one I bought. As far as I know it has never been played. It has certainly not been played by me (beyond the first two minutes played once - to ensure it actually played OK) While the sleeve is in pretty good condition with no wear on corners etc, it has come unstuck along the seams and needs re-gluing. Rather than do it myself and then sell on I'd rather sell it as original and let the new owner do as they wish.
Other than the un-gluing the only downer is that the inner sleeve does not appear to be original as it is not a see-through sleeve.
