                                                Mint (M )
  Absolutamente perfecto en todos los sentidos. Ciertamente nunca han jugado, posiblemente, incluso todavía sellado . Debe ser utilizado con moderación como un grado, en todo caso.

                                               Near Mint (NM o M- )
  Un registro casi perfecto. Muchos comerciantes no van a dar una calificación más alta que ello implique ( tal vez con razón ) de que hay registro es nunca verdaderamente perfecto . El registro debe mostrar signos evidentes de desgaste. A 45 RPM o manga EP no deben tener más de los defectos más leves, como el desgaste anillo casi invisible u otros signos de una ligera manipulación. Una cubierta de LP no debe tener arrugas, pliegues , hendiduras costura u otros defectos similares perceptibles. No hay agujeros recortadas , tampoco. Y, por supuesto , lo mismo debería ser cierto para otros insertos , como carteles , mangas líricas y similares. Básicamente , un LP en el estado casi impecable parece como si usted acaba de conseguir a su casa desde una nueva tienda de discos y quitó el abrigo del encogimiento .

                                               Very Good Plus (VG +)
  Un muy buen récord Plus mostrará algunos signos de que se jugaba y se maneja de otra manera por un dueño anterior que cuidaron muy bien de ella. La superficie del disco pueden mostrar algunos signos de desgaste y pueden tener desgastes leves o rasguños ligeros que no afecten a las experiencias de uno de escucha. Deformaciones leves que no afectan el sonido están "OK". La etiqueta puede tener un cierto desgaste del anillo o decoloración , pero debe ser apenas perceptible . El agujero central no han sido deformados por el juego repetido. Mangas de cuadros y manguitos interiores PT tendrán cierto desgaste leve , ligeramente aparecido esquinas , o una ligera fractura de la costura. Una cubierta de LP puede tener leves signos de desgaste también y puede ser empañado por un agujero de corte , la sangría o la esquina que indica que fue tomada fuera de impresión y se venden con un descuento. En general , si no fuera por un par de cosas mal con él, esto sería casi impecable .
                                                 Muy bueno (VG )
  Muchos de los defectos encontrados en un registro VG + será más pronunciado en un disco VG . Ruido de superficie será evidente al juego , sobre todo en los pasajes suaves y durante intro y desvanecimiento de una canción, pero no dominará la música de otra manera . Desgaste Groove comenzará a ser notable , al igual que con los rasguños ligeros ( lo suficientemente profundo para sentir con la uña ) que afectará al sonido. Las etiquetas pueden ser empañado por escrito, o tienen cintas o de etiquetas (o sus residuos) adjunto. El mismo se podrá decir de mangas de imagen o LP cubre . Sin embargo , no va a tener todos estos problemas al mismo tiempo , sólo dos o tres de ellos .

                                                Bueno (B ) , Good Plus ( G+ )
 Bueno no significa malo! Un registro de buena o buena condición Plus se puede poner sobre una mesa giratoria y se reproducirá a través sin saltar . Pero tendrá el ruido y los arañazos y el desgaste de la superficie significativa surco visible ( en un disco de estireno , el surco se comienza a ponerse blanco ) . Una cubierta o manguito tendrán divisiones de costura , especialmente en la parte inferior o en la columna vertebral. Cinta , escritura, desgaste del anillo u otros defectos comienzan a desbordar el objeto. Si se trata de un elemento común, usted encontrará probablemente otra copia en mejor forma con el tiempo . Dejarla pasar. Pero , si es algo que ha estado buscando durante años, y el precio es correcto , lo consigue ... pero seguir buscando para actualizar

                                                     Malo ( P) , Justo ( F)
El disco está rajado , muy deformados , y no jugar a través sin saltar o repetir . La manga del cuadro es agua dañada , se dividió en las tres costuras y muy estropeada por el desgaste y la escritura. La cubierta del LP apenas mantiene el LP en su interior. Manguitos interiores son totalmente dividida costura , arrugado , y escrito sobre. Excepto para los registros imposiblemente raras de lo contrario inalcanzable .                                     My grading
                                                Mint (M)
  Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly never been played, possibly even still sealed. Should be used sparingly as a grade, If at all.

                                               Near Mint (NM or M-)
  A nearly perfect record. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this implying (perhaps correctly) that no record is ever truly perfect. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. A 45 RPM or EP sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling. An LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits or other noticeable similar defects. No cut-out holes, either. And of course, the same should be true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves and the like. Basically, an LP in near mint condition looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. 

           EX

                                               Very Good Plus (VG+)
  A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK". The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play. Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount. In general, if not for a couple things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint. 
                                                 Very Good (VG)
  Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them. 

                                                Good (G), Good Plus (G+)
 Good does not mean Bad! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear (on a styrene record, the groove will be starting to turn white). A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object. If it's a common item, you'll probably find another copy in better shape eventually. Pass it up. But, if it's something you have been seeking for years, and the price is right, get it...but keep looking to upgrade

                                                     Poor (P), Fair (F)
The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, crinkled, and written upon. Except for impossibly rare records otherwise unattainable.
