THE FAMILY WHO PRAYS ......... TAKE UP THY CROSS ............... Being promoters of Bluegrass and Gospel Music, we are always looking for good Bluegrass and Gospel groups. A few years ago we had the opportunity to see and hear a Gospel Quartet known as THE KING’S COUNTRY MEN. The King’s Country Men combine bluegrass and gospel and come up with a sound and message unsurpassed in Bluegrass Gospel Music. It is seldom that one finds a group as talented, and dedicated to spreading the Gospel through song. The harmony is second to none when lead singer, John Bobbitt, Bass; Maliy Jones, Tenor; Andy Purdy and his brother, Warren Purdy, Baritone, gather ‘round the microphone for a “good ole time Gospel number/’ These men are perfectionists all the way not only with their singing, but with playing their instruments bluegrass style. The same instruments that are used in recording the wonderful songs in this album are also used on stage on personal appearances. The well balanced Gospel harmony singing plus superb musicianship on the stringed instruments put The King’s Country Men in demand where ever good clean Gospel music is appreciated. By popular demand here is another album by The King’s Country Men, fast becoming one of the East Coast’s most beloved Gospel groups. The songs in this album are not just songs but testimonies from the hearts of the singers. Robert C. Montgomery and J.
