Description
James Edwards was my father in law. He died in 1992, leaving behind a record collection of hundreds of gospel, classical, swing, country, popular and big band albums, which he had collected and preserved for years. He carefully kept the records in their original record sleeves and album covers. Jim was a Christian DJ in the 60's and 70's at WBEX in Chillicothe Ohio winning awards from many gospel and Christian Music organizations. He was a past president of the Gospel Music Club, active in the Southern Baptist Church and personal friends of the Stamps, the Kingsmen and other great artists. His widow, Ruth, my mother in law has decided to part with her husband's wonderful collections and has given me the privilege of presenting them to interested collectors through the EBay network. I plan on doing so, but would hope only lovers of the music like my father in law, acquire these items and treat them as wonderfully as he did.
All these albums, so little time. Read the reviews, the albums are in great condition because of Jim Edward's loving care and now they are being turned over to you, the great gospel fans of the E Bay network. Make some of them part of your wonderful collection and then turn them over to someone who cares about the history and greatness of the gospel music world great performers.
This is a quality album and the vinyl in mint condition.
Anyone who listens to gospel music knows about The Kingsmen. They are considered one of the true superstar groups of this genre and their legions of fans surround the world. The Kingsmen hail from Asheville, North Carolina. This is a part of the country that is well known for the beauties of nature that abound there and is famous as a summer resort area because of the cool pleasant weather in the summer. It is a center of gospel music and evangelism. The type of music that people from that beautiful southern area love the type of gospel singing displayed by the famous Kingsmen. It was not always "Standing Room Only" for the Kingsmen, but their dedication and hard work paid off and they became a group that have played to SRO for a long time now.
