Description
Original 1st UK Stereo issue of Arthur...… Not perfect , but plays through on my system(s). I use a Rega cartridge on one deck and an Audio Technica on another. Does not skip or jump (of course , I cannot guarantee or be responsible of how it will perform on other systems !) Victoria has a couple of groove scratches , which are clearly audible , although not overpowering. See uploaded pictures. The photo's of the scratch(s) make them look worse than in normal light due to the flash ! The remainder of the first side has intermittent mild crackle : the fault of the odd microscopicly small pop/pip , by the looks of it , or dirt. Side 2 plays pretty cleanly , occasional mild crackle (again , it may be either dirt or tiny imperfections) , but with no major audio intrusions , just some very mild hairline marks under bright light. The vinyl itself looks pretty clean/glossy.. Absolutely flat and not warped. I've graded the vinyl as VG , due to the groove scratches on Victoria...otherwise , the vinyl looks pretty good....nice gloss , no other visually distinct scratches. No groove distortion , or , aside from the occasional mild crackle , no surface noise. The Side 2 label has some writing on it ..a name. see pictures. I have not cleaned the vinyl : perhaps that may improve some surface crackle. The sleeve is pretty decent....again , not perfect , but not trashed like some copies. The top/bottom corner's of the sleeve at the 'title' binder edge have tears/wear ..the bottom one bigger than the top one. The Stereo sticker is missing over the Mono catalogue number on the back cover. Photo's attached of the cover... Also includes the original pull out insert in Excellent condition. No tears or creases , and still has the flap at the top of Victoria's head , which is often missing from copies. Please don't bid for this if your expecting an above average pressing ! Bid/buy it with this flaw in mind. DON'T pursue it if you are unsatisfied with it skipping ! As my advert says , NO RETURNS. Buy it as described !
