Description

New, sealed version of Reprise 6366, Arthur or the decline and fall of The British Empire by The Kinks. I’m pretty sure this is the 1972 reissue (original was released in 1969). I remember hearing Victoria for the first time. I was into the Beatles and Stones like everyone else. I put all those Beatles and Stones records away and went on a Kinks love affair that never went away. Nowadays if a Beatles or Stones tune comes up on the radio, I may change the station. If a Kinks tune comes on I always listen. Always. Preachy or not, to me, Ray Davies is one of the best songwriters to come out of England. And Dave is no slouch on the guitar. This album is a “cut out” with that little slice in the top right portion.
