~ Cancon Vinyl Auctions ~ You are bidding on this Rare original Canadian Garage 45 by The Kinks entitled " I Need You " b/w " Set Me Free " on PYE Records 778, original Canadian pressing from 1965.
Absolute Rarest Canadian Kinks 45 to locate in any condition and total killer B-side "I Need You" - Garage punked edged 45 release that was also covered by The Zakary Thaks who recorded an absolute stunning 45 version of this song track in 1966.
This 45 is the Kinks original version that was penned by Ray Davies.
The thick virgin vinyl composite mixture and deep groove recording on this original Canadian 45 release gives Zachary Thaks a run for their combined talents...it's a toss, you decide for yourselves which version is better...at high volume of course!
Absolute frantic loud screaming pounding garage vocals with wild over peeked monster electric fuzzy riff guitar work at it's best...better than "The Z' T' s" for sure...well, you be the judge.
The A-Side "Set Me Free" is a great track...especially when you're high...and a very unique song that should have been a B -Side track.
This rare Canadian Kinks 45 release had a very small pressing run...and virtually almost impossible to find with the original matching PYE sleeve.
This exceptional 45 is truly worth adding to your existing garage 45 collection.
An outstanding copy - close to near mint other than a small original label glue bleed spot on the A-Side and 2 very small light hairline needle marks.
NOTE: The actual color of the labels are deep red...my scanner seems to prefer orange at this moment.
