Hello and welcome to my auction for this super rare 1st pressing of The Kinks KONTROVERSY

A fantastic chance to own a little piece of rock n roll history an original uk mono 1st pressing in fantastic condition released on the 26 of November 1965 a stunning album full of bluesy rock n roll.

The vinyl:

This thick heavy weight vinyl is still nice and shiny with some lights marks and scuffs but nothing deep and nothing nasty

The labels are crisp and clean both sides with no damage or pen marks

This beautiful vinyl will be 53 years old on the 26th of November

The record plays through beautifully with a fresh loud and punchy mono sound.

This record plays with some surface noise that is only noticeable on the run in grooves and quieter passages the rest is lost once the powerful audio takes over this sounds fantastic.

This record is free from distortion and any groove hiss

This record has been fully play tested and is free from skips and sticks.

The cover :

The cover is the original Garrod & lofthouse Ltd flip back cover

Unfortunately the opening side has been torn at some point and lost a little of the laminate.

Also the bottom edge has a split to the opening side of the cover see pictures

The rest of the cover is in good solid shape with no pen and the back cover is nice and clean with some yellowing as with all vintage records it has turn a nice yellow cream colour.

The spine is in good condition and perfectly readable.

So all in all a fantastic opportunity to own a very rare album indeed I spend a lot of time in record shops and Kinks records are so hard to find so don’t miss out on this one it is in super condition and sounds so good I have a Re-pressing and this one kills it every time
