For auction today: The Kinks - S/t. Orig Australian 60's press. with flipback sleeve.
Cat # PLP1128.
Front cover is v nice indeed with only some v minor signs of handling/slick-chips to top area, One VERY light, easy to miss, corner bend that is starting to become a crease but not an actual "crease". One small thumbcrease also. No tears. No splits, esp to the lovely pinched spine. Hard to find like this, with no ringwear as per most copies of this fragile and unlaminated sleeve. Best of all, NO annoying spine creases. Somewhat miraculously!
Rear sleeve has 3 VERY light thumbcreases. One can be seen easily and the other 2 need to be inspected closely when angled towards the light, otherwise, not noticable.
Very slight indentation from disc but NO ringwear. VERY super clean white slick that has stayed as white can be, with no foxing, no grubbiness etc... Maybe just a touch of wear to the top flap but that's it. Amazing and beautiful.
Most corners are sharp and nice, which are hard to find.
Clean labels.
SUPER clean and lovely, shiney disc. Has 1 very light hairline, start of S2 Very difficult to spot. Last track S1 has a small scratch. Tested, and I could hear 10 light clicks but given it is a (fantastic) loud aggressive R&B track, it's not distracting and doesn;t stop enjoyment of the track.
Given the lack of spindle marks (only 1 or 2, total) and SUPER shiney disc, I think this has been seldom played. FULL gloss and shines like a mirror. WOW!!
