Description
On offer here is the Kinks first UK LP in mono from 1964 on the Pye label. I am pleased to say that this LP is in very respectable condition and would make a great addition to anyone's record collection.
The flipback sleeve is for once in great condition. The laminate only has a few tiny creases, the back is nice and bright and not grubby. There is a very small amount of corner wear , but the edges and spine are great. I will conservatively grade as Near Excellent condition. The inner sleeve is plain white.
The record visually has been played but well looked after. There is evidence of spindle wear and light signs of sleeve removal over the years. There are a couple of light scuffs on Side 1 none affecting play. I will grade as VG+ condition.
The record plays brilliantly on Side 1 with no clicks or static. Sounds great on my stereo. This is graded as at least Excellent. Side 2 doesn't play quite as well with some noticeable static between tracks and in some of the quiet spots. Still a respectable listen so I will grade as Very Good.
The matrix numbers are Side 1 NN 1096 A2 and Side 2 NN 1096 B2. It's worth noting this could be 1/1 matrixes as the 2 seems to have been added over the original number.
Altogether a very respectable example of this first Kinks LP, as anything reasonably decent is getting hard to find.
