Description
Very nice copy of the rare original 1972 pressing of the Late Great Townes Van Zandt, on Poppy Records LP PP-LA004-F. One of his greatest, and so hard to find on the original Poppy pressing. The disc has a mark on side 2 that looks way worse than it is. It is really just a surface scuff and as far as I can hear makes no sound at all. The whole record plays amazingly beautifully, with a touch of light crackle at the beginning of each side, going into the beginning of the first song for a short time, but quickly fading out. Not bad anyway. The mark I mentioned doesn't affect the play at all, and the rest of both sides after the very beginning plays close to mint. The gatefold cover has only light shelfwear and looks just beautiful. There is a promo hole punch at the lower right where the Poppy logo is, but it is only on the top and doesn't go all the way through to the back. Very very slight corner wear, but barely. Also a price sticker on the front. It can easily be removed with lighter fluid, but it appears to be an original sticker so I kept it on. This is a truly beautiful cover. This is a truly beautiful copy all around. Very rare in this shape.
