Description
The Epileptics (who briefly renamed themselves The Licks and later morphed into the anarcho-punk band Flux of Pink Indians) were a formative UK punk band formed in 1978 in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire.

Stan Stammers (Bass, replaced Birkett for a period before going on to play in Theatre of Hate, then Spear of Destiny)
The band formed in 1978 and played early gigs with the pioneering punk band Crass. Due to complaints from the British Epilepsy Association regarding the offensive nature of the name, the band briefly used monikers like Epi-X before switching back to The Epileptics.
The band was forced to adopt the label-friendly name The Licks by Stortbeat Records so they could release their debut single, "1970s", without controversy.
This is their raucous debut.
