My Personal Grading Standards.
Vinyl Grading Standards: *Mint (M): Sealed, New *Near Mint (NM or M-): Like New, No Scratches, (I don't test/Don't want to possibly scratch) *Excellent (EX): May have one Minor Scratch. Good For Collecting. *Very Good Plus (VG+) Minor Scratches. One side can grade EX but the other side has Minor Scratches. *Very Good (VG): Likely VG+ Has Multiple Scratches. Great for Playing. *Good Plus (G+): Likely VG Has Multiple Scratches. Good For Playing. May have Skip. *Good (G): Scratches. Usually has Scratches, the record can sound fine and skips are a possibility. *Fair (F): Has a Skip and Scratches. Playable. *Worn (W): Record has Deep scratches, cracks, warps, chips, and more.
Jacket Grading Standards: *Mint (M): Sealed, New, *Near Mint (NM): Opened, Not Used, *Excellent (EX): Partially Sealed, Possibly Minor Imperfections. *Very Good Plus (VG+): Minor Imperfections. (such as ring wear). *Very Good (VG): May Have One Imperfection or a Few Minor Imperfections. (such as ring wear). *Good Plus (G+): May Have Multiple imperfections. *Good (G): Has Noticeable Imperfections; *Fair (F): Not a Good Sleeve for Collectors. Usually Structurally Intact. *Worn (W): Holds the Vinyl.
