Classic Records 2006 reissue on Quiex SV-P 200 gram vinyl.  Includes a limited edition bonus 7" with "Milking Bull" and "For The Good Times".  Mastered by Bernie Grundman from the original 1/2" master tapes.  Outstanding pressing, highly recommended.  Bought second-hand and stored upright in a 5 mil heavyweight polypro sleeve in a smoke-free environment.  Vinyl imperfections on side one, but still a nice copy.   

• NM gatefold cover is clean with no markings and no seam splits.  Spine and edges are strong with no wear.  Corners are strong and sharp with no wear.  Really nice cover.

• VG+ 200 gram Side 1 has a light scratch through part of track 1 "Roly Poly".  I play-tested with headphones and heard light ticks in the left channel during some rotations through the scratch, lasting for about 2 minutes of the song.  Not loud, but still noticeable with headphones.  No skips.  There is also large scuff mark through parts of tracks 2 and 3, but this is a surface scuff only and does not effect sound quality. I play-tested this section with headphones and did not hear any audible defects due to the scuff.  Still a great sounding side, but the scratch and scuffs drop the visual grading. 
• NM 200 gram Side 2 has some very light sleeve scuffing in a few areas.  These are surface scuffs only and do not effect play quality.  Great sounding pressing, highly recommended.

• Cover is clean with no markings or seam splits.  Corners are strong and sharp with no wear.
• Side 1 ("Milking Bull") has no marks or scuffs. 
• Side 2 ("For The Good Times") has a light scratch.  Play tested with headphones and heard no skips but there are some 'ticks' during some of the rotations through the scratch.  Not loud, but still noticeable with headphones.  No skips.

This is the Classic Records 200-g Quiex SV-P Hand Made version of this release. 

Mastered by Bernie Grundman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood directly from the original 1/2" analog master tapes and pressed on available as a 200g Super Vinyl Profile Pressing by Classic Records for Blue Note and Norah. 

Clarity Vinyl represents the ultimate in vinyl formulations because it is comprised of over 90 percent of t he highest quality co-polymer available - a key component in vinyl pellets used for manufacturing vinyl records. Further, Clarity Vinyl has no carbon black additive, common in vinyl formulas for LPs. Carbon black contains trace metals that become magnetized and cause "electrical distortions" in cartridges during playback that smears the sound. By taking out the Carbon Black, Classic Records is able to dramatically reduce the "electrical distortions" and thus bring more "Clarity" to the playback process, providing a more realistic musical experience to the listener and LP enthusiast.

Mint (I almost never use this grade unless it's sealed) means perfect Near Mint means just shy of perfect Excellent means light wear, or a couple light marks Very Good Plus means more significant wear but nothing serious, or more than a couple light marks and/or a few hairlines Very Good has more serious wear but it's definitely not garbage, has marks and hairlines
