Description

This is part of a series done by Chess Records, getting help from English rock stars to help promote the Blues greats that had influenced the rockers. Guests included Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and Ian Stewart. They cover a great selection of Howling Wolf tracks plus other Blues standards, including Sittin' On Top of the World, Built For Comfort, I Ain't Superstitious, and Wang Dang Doodle. The music is great. The rehearsal take of Little Red Rooster has some good interaction between Wolf and Clapton.
The cover artwork is also cool, an artist's rendition of the musicians hanging out in Piccadilly Circus. Inside the folding cover are photos and limited liner notes (See photos). The original album sleeve (included and in good condition) has lyrics, and a transcription of the rehearsal interaction.
