Description

The MISSISSIPPI BLUES 1927-1940 - ORIGIN JAZZ LIBRARY OJL-5 - This is the rare compilation that features early recordings of BUKKA WHITE, WILLIE BROWN & KID BAILEY, ROBERT WILKINS, SON HOUSE, MISSISSIPPI JOHN HURT, WILLIAM HARRIS, SKIP JAMES and SON HOUSE. The cover is looks great, has nice clean seams and is graded E+. The previous owner's name is stamped on both sides of the cover (see photos). There is also an OJL insert that has a stamp from the place of purchase (Jack's Record Cellar SAN FRAN, CA). The vinyl is graded VG+. It looks fine and it's tough to tell if when surface noise is present if it is from the original 78 or the LP. That being said, it looks very clean and was owned by a serious collector.
