Description
This jazz record is from the personal collection of legendary collector Leon Leavitt, who auctioned jazz records to the world and established a reputation as the foremost purveyor of superb jazz records in the world. We became close friends in the 1980s, and he allowed me to visit his home and warehouse in Sun Valley on a regular basis to choose the best copy of each record and album cover in his extensive archives. This jazz record I am offering has been play graded and meticulously scrutinized under heavy lighting and is in absolute superb NM condition. You will never need to upgrade it because it's condition is one of a kind. This record is the original first pressing with heavy, hefty, brilliantly glossy and lustrous vinyl. It plays with clean, undistorted sound as befits a record that has never been played more than once or twice since it was issued. This is the original MONO Blue Note of 1527 recorded on July 9, 1956. The label is Lexington Avenue. RVG appears in the run-off vinyl. This is the original FIRST PRESSING in absolutely stunning NEAR MINT CONDITION. The performers are Thad Jones, Billy Mitchell, Barry Harris, Percy Heath and Max Roach. The record, album cover and labels are in near mint condition. Very, very rare. This is for serious bidders only. Please bid responsibly. Payment required within 48 hours of purchase by Paypal only. Please ignore the stated shipping cost and wait for my invoice before paying for the record, which will be shipped in a hard back cardboard box and covered with bubblewrap and floated on styrofoam bubbles. Shipping to the USA will be $35.00 and international shipping cost will be determined by location. If you have questions about shipping cost or anything else, please ask them before you bid. Please bid responsibly.
