Description

An original 1st press on UK RCA from 1966. Matrix 1K/1K = 1st cut. Stampers 1K/1BM - 1st mother. Labels are consistent with 1st press - note the Decca deep groove is still present.. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original MacNeill Mono cover with pinched spine. We also have the original Decca poly-lined inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - one miniscule mark that does just sound momentarily. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intro and inbetweens are lovely and quite and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Obviously a really early pressing from the 1st mother - is gonna sound fabbo. But this is superbly preserved for 1966 and will take the audio on to a new level. Love it! You will not find a cleaner player that's for sure. Nothing more than a few crackles in one isolated spot per side. And I detected 6-7 ticks in the intro to 'Call Your Name'. A shame - but over pretty quickly...By and large an absolute banger!
Cover (Ex) Well, for 1966 this cover is looking pretty darn fine. beautifully flat and shiny front with barely a single crease. The rear typically ages - but there very little sign of it here. Just a couple of slightest blemishes at the opening. Very little edge wear at all and the openings are still sharpish. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A little bit aged. No splits.
