Description
Hi there folks. Up for auction is an original, STILL SEALED Dunhill/ABC 1960s MONO LP pressing of The Mamas and Papas 1967 compilation album -- Farewell To The First Golden Era. Catalog number Dunhill D 50025. This was the band's first hits collection, and thus, it features a terrific track lineup. A true mono rarity in new and sealed condition! A great opportunity for either the music fan, vinyl lover, audiophile or M&Ps collector!
As noted, the LP is still sealed. The cosmetic flaws are as follows: Two 2 inch indentations on the upper left, rear of the cover. The remains of a store price sticker on the upper right, front cover. Also, a 1 inch opening of the cellophane on top right side (i.e. the side where the record goes in). No writing, stains, jacket seam splits or yellowing/discoloration. Any ringwear/impressions are minimal and appear to be mostly on the exterior of the shrink. Kept in a pet-free, smoke-free environment. All in all, a very nice specimen of this nearly 45-year-old, sealed mono LP. Please see photos of actual item in this ad.
The item will be well-packed, secured and cushioned. My LP shipping method for a sealed album consists of placing the item in an additional poly LP bag, and then **cross-taping** the outer protective bag to prevent any possible shifting of the LP and seam splits in transit. The record is then placed in a corrugated LP mailer using stiffener fillers as cushioning and bubble wrap to help protect the LP and its corners from any (or further) wear. I'm also open to any other alternative packing techniques, within reason, from the buyer to help assure peace of mind. I'm a lifelong record and CD collector myself, so I know and value the importance of description and packaging. Thus, you are assured that your item will arrive safe and secure!
