IN THIS AUCTION: 

·       “IF YOU CAN ONLY BELIEVE YOUR EYES AND EARS” by The Mamas and the Papas  

·       This LP is Dunhill Records DS-50006.

·       It is a STEREO LP

·       This LP was issued in 1966.

·       The LP in this auction is the RARE ORIGINAL COVER (known as “THE TOILET COVER”) that has the toilet completely visible at lower right of the front cover slick.

·       The image of the dirty toilet was found to be objectionable and was replaced by several modifications to the cover. A scroll listing key cuts on the LP covered the dirty toilet on the first subsequent pressings. After that on later issues the cover slick had a black border with the cover photo cropped that eliminated the dirty toilet. 

·       The COVER is in VG CONDITION. There is scotch tape along the top and bottom seams and there is flaking on the spine. There is also wear on the corners. There is a small corner crease at bottom right and a larger light corner crease at top right. A hint of light ring wear is on the left side of the cover near Michelle Phillip’s cowboy boots and on the right side above the toilet. The rear cover slick shows some aging.   

·       The VINYL is in VG to VG+ CONDITION with some hairlines and scuffs.  

·       The vinyl comes with a Dunhill Records inner sleeve that pictures and promotes other Dunhill LPs on sale at that time. This is probably NOT the original sleeve, as, coincidentally, one of the LPs depicted is this same LP with the scroll covering the toilet. (Check out the image.)  

·       This is a GREAT HARD-TO-FIND LP these days. It’s a “Must Have” for any vintage vinyl collection. Definitely SUITABLE FOR FRAMING!!!

 FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (G for Good, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY grade the LPs and 45s I auction, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
