Description
I list this record because of the rarity of the cover rather than it's excellent condition. It is Dunhill D-50006. When this album first came out the censors disagreed with the showing of the toilet and there were a number of different changes from banners to total erasure that were put into play on subsequent albums to cover the toilet. In my time as a collector, I have seen the album "If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears" featuring The Mama's and the Papa's many many times. This is however the first time I've seen an album cover showing the toilet. As to condition, the album cover shows bright colors and a minimum of ring wear. Someone has used an eraser toward the bottom end of the tub and there are some lighter spots showing. In addition, the album cover is split entirely across the upper edge. The record is G+ showing lots of scuffs and marks. Having said that, I have played the record and it seems to play loud and clear with just a bit of pop especially in the quiet places. You can expect this record to have some surface noise as you play it. I don't think you will be terribly disappointed with the sound if you don't mind a little extra pop but I reiterate that this record is being sold because of the rarity of the album cover.
