Die aus dem Umfeld des schwedischen Savage-Zines stammende Band macht auch auf ihrem zweiten Longplayer alles richtig: hektischer, trashiger Punkrock "straight outta the garage", jung, wild und ungestüm.
Geblieben ist auch die Vorliebe der vier Bandmitglieder, sich für Bandfotos in quergestreifte Shirts zu kleiden, wie auch das Cover an sich sehr schlicht, aber geschmackvoll gestaltet ist.
Man klingt einmal mehr, als sei man seit den frühen Neunzigern begeisterter Crypt-Mailorderkunde gewesen und habe alle Releases von Tim Warren im Regal stehen - und diese auch ständig gehört.
Mag sein, dass es derzeit einige Bands aus Schweden gibt, die richtig absahnen, Fakt ist, dass in einer gerechten Welt auch die MANIKINS ein Stück vom Kuchen abbekommen würden. Die zwölf Songs, darunter "Monday morning gunk" von RADIO BIRDMAN, sind schneller wieder vorbei, als man zwei Flaschen Bier geleert hat, und so kann ich diesen kleinen Schatz (152 davon gibt's in weißem Vinyl) nur jedem ans Herz legen.

This super catchy stuff rawks like our heros TEENGENERATE/DEVIL DOGS/SONICS. And this LP will find its way into the New Testament of the Garagepunk-Bible.
