Description

DESCRIPTION: This is the 2003 first pressing of 'De-Loused In The Comatorium' by The Mars Volta on the Gold Standard Laboratories label. I have owned this double-LP set from new and have only played it three times - one of which was my test play, priopr to listing it here.
The vinyl look near-mint and, despite the fact that these are picture discs, they actually sound great. As is typical of picture discs, there is some low level surface noise, but this is not loud and never overpowers the music. The only flaw is that both records are distorted - Record 1 more so than Record 2 (see attached photographs). I understand that this was a common problem with these silver picture discs but as you can see from the attached video, both records track absolutely fine on my turntable with no discernible affect on playback. [For reference, my turntable has a unipivot tonearm, my cartridge has a Pathfinder line contact stylus and I use a tracking force of 2.0 grams. I also use a stainless steel record clamp. If you are unsure whether your tonearm will be able to track these records, please do not bid. Thank you.]

The gatefold cover has a small corner bump, which was a result of poor packaging when it was shipped to me, but there are no other signs of wear or tear. Includes both printed inner sleeves which have all seams intact. Also comes complete with the foldout poster, which has never been hung.

SHIPPING: I do not use eBay's Global Shipping Program; the shipping costs quoted in my listings are the actual cost of shipping from the UK. I do not profit from shipping and I always refund any overpayment for shipping. I do ship internationally, but note that the shipping cost quoted in the listing is for international shipping to the US. For other destinations, please contact me for a shipping quote or, alternatively, just pay the automatic invoice that you will recieve and I will refund any overpayment.

GRADING: Unless a record is sealed, I play-grade everything on a high-end turntable. My grading is strict, so even if you are buying a 'VG+' record from me, the chances are that you are actually buying a very nice keeper copy. Nevertheless, grading is quite subjective; so, if you feel that I haven't graded something properly, please contact me immediately. As a collector of vinyl myself, I know how important customer satisfaction is and I will do everything I can to resolve any issues.

PACKAGING: I do not charge for packaging costs. All records are packed well in sturdy record mailers with additional cardboard for protection. To prevent any seam splits during transit, I always ensure that records are packed outside of their covers.
