Description
This is a mint ,unplayed ,vinyl copy of the 1993 Mars Volta album.now extremely rare and sought after, it has the unique chromium /metallic silver vinyl which I have never seen on a vinyl pressing before.it glares at you ! The cover is clean and mint, the poster still remains folded ( i partly opened it up just for the photo). I have never played it so cannot comment on how the metallic pressing comes over. the inner sleeves are mint also. Will package carefully in bubblewrap before boxing.
On 24-Jul-11 at 09:29:28 BST, seller added the following information: additional info; a member has asked me if there are any flaws,even the slightest such as corner wear,creases ,dings ,discoloration etc so heres what i replyed to him; cover;there are no bends or creases on the cover front or back,the covers are clean of smudges or marks.the spine is in tact,no bends(album cover has never been fully opened out) the minor blemishes are; top r/h corner there is minor rubbing where the edge of the cover meets the the corner of the spine.same at bottom r/h corner.on left hand side of cover there is faintest blemish on a small part of the edge..the inner cover is mint,untouched.the poster is mint,unblemished and was only ever opened out once for the taking of the photograph. the vinyl has not been played so there are no spindle marks (it would be impossible to discern anyway because the metallic /chrone texture of the vinyl covers the whole of the platter).it is a very weird effect:it looks like the vinyl has been spray painted!!! i have never seen a piece of vinyl like it and i have been collecting since 1963! on the vinyl platters themselves i have checked both vinyls.on the 1st of the vinyl there looks to be a slight indent on the first part of one side of the vinyl which must be part of the manufacturing process/feature. some of the metallic effect of the vinyl looks uneven in texture but this is because of the strange nature of how it was produced and i guess is a natural feature of this type of finish. i bought the album new on its release but i have never played it so i cannot be definitive about any blips on the vinyl itself.i dont want to test play it because i dont want to risk anything happening,even though i have top quality audio equipment.price rating
