ITEM DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION: The debut studio release from one of today's most exciting rock groups (IF they can even be classified)! The design of the album artwork and layout is stunning not only in the beauty of each individual element, but also the varied media used to pull it off. The front and back of the album feature wonderfully vivid and imaginative edited photographs. Open the case to discover a pair of drawings. The actual vinyl is simply silver colored front and back with no stickers. Powerful stuff! The actual packaging is in great shape. The corners show some wear, and the sides and spine show some slight usage, but the front and back covers looks great and the inside is pristine. The actual records are sonically great...I listened to the album only 2 times. It was difficult for me to judge if there were any scratches due to the silver paint job, but they look near mint.

BACKSTORY/ETC: I bought this new from a local record store a couple years back. I love The Mars Volta and was just getting into vinyl at the time. I listened to it once by myself, once with a good friend, and both times I was treated to lush soundscapes and epic performances! As is the case with nearly all my records, I partially purchased this as a financial investment, and it's simply time to move it.
