  For sale is Marshall Tucker Band's self titled first album, released in 1973 by Capricorn Records in a gate-fold presentation. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers 1-D/1-E, signifying that an early stamper was used on this first pressing, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this new, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 and immediately put this album into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with this release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The cover is graded as Excellent because of some slight ring wear, corner blunts and a crease at the upper right hand corner. The spine has some color loss at the corners from rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as NM- because of a few faint sleeve marks. The vinyl is play graded as Near Mint. This is still the best copy of this hard to find album that I have ever seen or heard. You would be hard pressed to find one in this condition, being that it has become so scarce. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection.    I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection.
