Description

     Here's a nice copy of The Marvelettes'  third LP "Playboy" on Tamla TM 231 from 1962. The record is on the first label for this LP- white background with overlapping record and globe logo, as can be seen in my photos. The record looks VG++ and it plays VG+ with some slight surface noise between songs. This surface noise is not really heard in The Marvelettes' songs, since it is a hot cut LP record. The sound is good and loud with great dynamics. The noise does not detract from the great Marvelettes/Tamla sound.

     The cover is still in its tight, original shrink wrap(except for one tear on the back cover). There is a very tiny cut out hole in the upper left corner that is barely visible and a handwritten number on the back cover. The back cover is still pure white after all these years. There is a price sticker on the upper right of the front cover. A very presentable cover that I would grade as VG++/Near Mint!

     This is the first pressing of an early rock and roll classic LP. At one time, a copy in this condition would book for near $600.00. I am putting this copy up for auction with a modest reserve of only $38.99! As I said, nice copy of an early classic!
