Description
This is Michigan female R&B singing group The Marvelettes performing "Please Mr. Postman" on Tamla 54046 from 1961. This # 1 chart record looks VG++ with minor surface markings and a minor smudge on one label but plays in NM condition and comes in a Motown Records company sleeve. There are two picture sleeves. The b/w sleeve with the Tamla logo is a company picture sleeve that is VG++ with sticker residue on the front. There are no seam splits or writing on this sleeve. The picture sleeve with the Fontana logo is a custom sleeve made in Canada or England and is in MINT condition. This custom picture sleeve is a one-off sleeve that was not mass produced. All of this comes in a clear, resealable, poly-vinyl protective sleeve with a cardboard backer separating the record from the picture sleeves. This Tamla picture sleeve has been known to fetch $100.
