Description

The Marvelettes The Marveletts Sing (sic) extremely rare, sealed 10-track double LP released on Tamla Records (Tamla 229). You will probably never see a copy of this record still sealed in its original shrinkwrap again. This release on Tamla Records (the precursor to Berry Gordy's Motown label) famously misspells the Marvelettes' name on the cover of their first LP. The Marvelettes are most notable for their 1959 smash hit "Please Mr. Postman," which set the precedent for later Motown girl groups and helped pave the way for Motown's later success.
