Description
The McCoys: Hang On Sloopy - Original UK Immediate MONO LP. 1st pressing on 170g IMLP 001. Very rare first album on Immediate and first Rick Derringer + McCoys LP. A garage rock/pop classic. Some light ring wear/ stains on back sleeve (see pix). Vinyl plays close to Near Mint - a few (I counted 4) friendly tics/pops. Two clean labels. A few light lines likely from entering vinyl in and out of sleeve. Original first pressing, well mastered and on 170g vinyl.
Played from start to finish - no skips, no jumps. Record was deep cleaned using a professional record cleaning machine.
This was Immediate's first LP release and like the single of the same name Immediate did a splendid job of promoting it by having the band visit England and doing interviews with all the music weeklies and the promotion circuit. This was the only issue with the Immediate brand as future re-releases were sanctioned by other labels making this of value to Immediate and Rick Derringer collectors alike.
