the actual stampers used to press the melvins vinyl release "ozma" released by boner back in 1989.
you get both as seen in pictures, 1 for side a, 1 for side b.
these cannot be played, as these are the stampers they press the music grooves into the records you do play, so where a record has grooves pressed into it, stampers are the opposite and have raised grooves to stamp into vinyl. (so the matrix writing is backwards to of course,think of it all like a negative)
I can read the matrix to say BR16-1-A melvin pole bath tub and BR161-B millions of dead melvins
perhaps you could give them to a pressing plant and they could stamp more copies out of them but i wouldn't suggest that.
stampers only last so many stamps before being worn out and need replacing,
based on the notes written on the sleeves of these i think these got a lot of presses out of them
there is various notes on the sleeve saying amounts of records stamped and the date.
please study this writing yourself in the pictures to see what sense you can make of these notes.
the condition is of course used, these are a tool used to press records, so obviously they look like they have pressed records because they have.
the sleeves also has wear, and come with original ozma centre lables stuck to them.
I purchased these direct from a melvins family member, so definitely the genuine article.
