Description

Hi, presented here is a fantastic example of the very rare LP, "The Meteors Meet Screaming Lord Sutch", released on Ace Records,  Catalogue Number MAD1, 1981.  Rush released, and limited to only 1,000 copies.  So, here's the condition:-

The Sleeve:-  Fantastic Near Mint, Very vibrant colours on the hand-pasted "comic strip" front sleeve.  Only a couple of small marks on the outer edges of the sleeve, these vary slightly due to the hand made nature of this release.  Rear sleeve is plain and in fantastic condition, can see no blemishes.  I've also included a picture of this.  No writing, etc. All 3 spines true and with very minimal damage. Opening edge has virtually no feathering.  Being the nosey type, I did look inside the sleeve, where I saw a small area (about 4 inches square) where the sleeve has some overspill on it, I'm not sure what this is, but it does NOT extend to the edges or outer sleeve.  There is a vintage sticker on the front sleeve, "Barnaby Records Gillingham £2.59".

The LP Itself:-  Excellent to Near Mint, played only once!!  Only light surface marks, completely inaudible at playback, though this can vary from system to system.  Nice sheen on both sides of the album.  There are some visible pressing lines across the first track or so on Side 1 when you tilt the record, these look like those created when the record was made, again inaudible on playback, though whether this could vary from player to player I'm not sure.  Run out groove on Side 1 says 26th June 1981, Hammersmith!, Side 2 says "Get Your Souvenir Here!"

The Labels:-  Near Mint, very vibrant and nice lustre, little or no spindle wear.  No writing or marks.  Very slight raised area directly around the centre holes on both labels, but very slight.

The Inner Sleeve:-  Plain white die-cut inner, in excellent condition.

All in all then, a stunning example of a very rare and sought after LP.  Many thanks for looking.  Overseas postage costs on request.
