Description
Head is the sixth studio album by the American pop group and is the soundtrack to the 1969 film of the same name. The album primarily consists of pieces assembled from the films dialogue and six new songs that encompass genres such as psychedelic music, lo-fi, acid rock and broadway theater. The album was written following the cancellation of their popular television series in 1968 by the group and actor Jack Nicholson. The album peaked at #45 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart and the single “ Porpoise Song” peaked at #62 on the Hot 100 Singles Chart.
