Originally released by Arista Records in Australia in 1979, and later in New Zealand and Italy, Monkeemania: 40 Timeless Hits from The Monkees was a coveted import in the United States and elsewhere in the 1980s as it covered a wide spectrum of the group's 1960s recordings. This is a Double-LP set featuring liner notes written by Glenn A. Baker (who later published the book Monkeemania: The True Story of The Monkees). Included are discographies, memorabilia and clippings in the centre gatefold, "Monkee Memories" and the Monkee Chart Log.  Of interest is that the individual color photos of each Monkee on the back cover were taken during the 1968 Australian tour.  "Steam Engine," "Love to Love," and the live concert version of "Circle Sky" saw their first official release on Monkeemania.

This vinyl record is in good to very good + condition. *Vinyl shows gentle wear with superficial scratch/scuff marks that do not affect play when tested as far as my untrained ears can tell; no skips, jumps or repeats - both discs were played through on both sides from start to finish at least once (May as well enjoy the music while testing LOL); cardboard sleeve shows gentle shelf wear, with no ringwear. Original sleeve inserts. Photographs are of the actual listed album. I provide scanned image of at least one side of the vinyl - you can then enlarge that image to see the true condition of the record for yourself. The condition of recycled vintage vinyl records is often subjective to individuals. I am not an experienced grader, I just love listening to vinyl - I will generally  list an condition range (I do grade slightly less than, to err on the side of caution) and provide plenty of quality photos because as they say "a picture paints a thousand words".  I will also note if there are any specific playback issues. Please check these photos carefully as they form part of this description and can describe vintage vinyl far better than any blurb I might write, allowing you to make your own determination.
