Description
This is a Seeburg Jukebox EP of the Monkees' self-titled debut from 1966. Manufactured by RCA ("I" in the inner groove for "Indianapolis"), Stereo CGLP-101, 33 1/3 RPM, original Colgems label. This is a hard cover EP that was never commercially released and comes with the original jukebox title strips and album cover facsimiles. The title strips are complete but one has been separated (I used to have a completely reconditioned Seeburg jukebox- with a new needle- in my home and played this EP on it a few times). The EP was still shrink wrapped when I bought it from a seller in Goldmine back in the late 1990's. The hard cover is mint. The record is VG+ (slight scuffs on the vinyl as there were no inner sleeves for these EPs- no effect on sound quality). The title strips are VG+ and the album cover facsimiles are mint (these values are from eBay's "A Guide to Vinyl Record Grades").
Peter Tork autographed the hard cover at a grand opening for a Designer Shoe Warehouse store in Indianapolis, IN shortly after I bought it (he told me that he had never seen one of these before!). Davy Jones and Micky Dolenz autographed it after a concert at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, IN on March 25th, 2001 (see photo of ticket- ticket is not for sale). Why am I selling this? I missed seeing Peter, Micky and Mike when they were in Merrillville last year, probably my last chance to ever have Mike Nesmith sign it. I did manage to get Peter, Davy and Micky's autographs on a limited-edition "Headquarters Sessions" CD at the 2001 Merrillville concert so I've decided to part with this jukebox EP. This EP is rare, especially in this condition; even more so with three of the four Monkees' autographs. It comes from my own personal collection and a smoke-free environment.
