The Monster Club Soundtrack LP (1981) Chips Records
Almost impossible to find on vinyl, and never released in CD, contains several exclusive tracks. Includes the songs from the film by BA Robertson, Night, UB40, The Viewers, the Pretty Things and Expressos. Plus key instrumentals.
The sleeve is VG+, almost Ex-. No tears or major creasing, just some ageing in places along the spines, although I’ve kept it in a PVC sleeve for years.
Album plays pretty quietly for a 40 year old record. Side one has the usual clicks from dust, so is maybe Ex-, but with a proper clean condition could go higher. Side two has the really quiet orchestral pieces, so ranges from VG+ to Ex-, with track two (Transylvanian Terrors) having the most noise. Again, with a good clean (I’m not a fan of home cleaning records this rare, professional is best), it will likely go Ex. I ripped the audio and was able to eliminate all the usual vinyl artefacts digitally using the lowest settings on repair software. So with patience a CD quality transfer could probably be obtained.
All that said, this LP is 40 years old!
Sad to part with it after so many years but unexpected bill has landed.
Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail recorded.
