An original 1971 press of DOFP on the Deramic UK label. Matrix 3W/3W. Please note label design is consistent with a reissue from 1971. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace cover. Also included is the original blue and white Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Due to the fact this music is largely performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra you really need to insist on the absolutely best preserved LP possible. This copy delivers in every way and will not disappoint even the most ardent hifi nut. Intros and inbetweens are absolutely silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is, thankfully, non-existent. We didn't detect more than a couple of crackles the whole way through. FINAL UPGRADE...a fantastic rendition bordering perfect.
Cover (Ex) A very smart clean cover and looking way better than most examples. A lovely clean unaged front with barely a crease. The rear, often the area which disappoints, has been largely unafected by the usual fading. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the over retains excellent rigidity. A great example which would be nigh on impossible to better.
Inner (Ex) Little ageing and no splits.
