Description

An original 3rd issue of DOFP on the UK Deramic label from 1970. Matrix 4W/4W. Please note label design is consistent with an early copy from this period as the 'all rights..' statement can be found at the foot of the label. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Clout & Baker cover. Also included is a blue and white Decca from the time. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. A beautiful rendition particularly considering that the audio is largely orchestral in nature. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. A beaut that's for sure!
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has clearly been cared for down the years. A lovely shiny unaged front cover with barely a crease. The rear seems to have escaped the usual ageing issues - just the lightest touch of foxing in a couple of spots. Edge wear is pretty much non-existent and the openings are still sharpish. The spine is 100% intact and the cover retains perfect rigidity.
