Description

An original 1st stereo pressing of ISOTLC on the DERAMIC label from 1968. Matrix 1W/1W. Stampers 1U/1M - placing it amongst the first few thousand copies ever pressed. Please note the label design is consistent with 1st press from 1968. Firstly, the tape number is still upside down. Secondly, the 'All Rights..' statement runs along the foot of the label - by 1970 this jumps to the top of the label. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace cover. 1st issue covers are identifiable by the additional piece of card added on the right hand side forming a pocket for the record. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve from 1968. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely superb condition and has seen the very lightest of use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. NEVER have I heard 'Lost Chord' play back this good - it is literally perfectly preserved! And believe me with a multitude of acoustic percussive passages only a super-clean copy is ever going to reveal 'Lost Chord' in all its glory. Interference is totally absent. We didn't detect more than a couple of crackles the whole way through. A supreme copy - FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex+) Again, someone must have taken unbelievable care of this cover because this example really belies its age. Perfectly shiny front without creasing. The rear is equally good - borderline faultless. The interior is immaculate and it is here that you usually get let down. But no! This copy is pristine inside and out with not a hint of ageing. Edge wear is super light  and the edges are still sharp! The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. I really can't find a single fault....
Inner (Ex) Lightest ageing. No splits.
