Description
This is a superb UK mono pressing of In Search of the Lost Chord. The catalogue no is DML711.
The first press ARL8270 - 2W matrices are in the run out. It also has the correct red inner sleeve as supplied by Decca (red for mono and blue for stereo).
The laminated gatefold sleeve is in Good ++ condition with general storage wear. Not damaged as such, good especially when considering the issue date of 1968. The spine is tired, but fully legible. There is some light feathering of the opening.
The inner is the original red mono sleeve used by Deram at the time. Condition is excellent being still white with practically no age related discolouration.
The record is in very good condition. There are quite a few surface marks, so rated as a conservative VG. The labels are superb as can be seen in the photos.
The record plays brilliantly with no skips or jumps when I played it. The surface marks referred to do impact on audio. Noticeable on quieter sections, not so when the music is fuller/louder.
A rare mono pressing from 1968 that has great audio that's impacted by surface noise in quieter sections or between tracks. Still highly enjoyable though.
