Description

The Moody Blues - In Search of the Lost Chord, Stereo, Gate Fold. Autographed by all five members.
I'm selling on behalf of my sister-in-law.


Record No. SML 711. Side 1 ZAL - 8270 - 1W   1 M JT Side 2 ZAL - 8271 - 1W   1C JT

I can guarantee the authenticity of these signatures, but you are welcome  to use the pics to have them checked out.
I will include a letter addressed to the buyer and signed by me, confirming  how, when and where these autographs were obtained.


The story behind these autographs:
Date:- Friday February 7th 1969 Venue:- Bridge Place Country Club, Nr. Canterbury, Kent.
During the 60s I played keyboards for a local group who played regularly at Bridge Place. Occasionally we were booked as support for the big names that played there, one of these being the Moody Blues. My now sister-n-law, like me was a Moodies fan. She couldn't make the venue, so I took her albums and got them signed for her.

Condition:- Unlike me, my sister-in-law doesn't look after her records very well.
The outer sleeve - Generally good condition. Edges are a bit tatty and has a 4cm tear on bottom edge. Has "with love from Steve" written inside sleeve, (I think this was her boyfriend at the time).
The inner sleeve - A bit grubby and creased and has a tear taped up.
The vinyl - has a few fine surface scratches and a couple of slightly deeper ones. Approximately 1min 30 secs in on track one, side one there is a slight skip. The rest of the record plays well with a few light crackles and pops here and there.
