Description
This is an original stereo pressing of Freak Out! by The Mothers of Invention, released in 1966 on Verve Records (catalog V6-5005-2). It’s widely considered a landmark in rock music, both for its experimental style and for being one of the earliest double LP debuts. The gatefold sleeve has some noticeable wear, but still shows off the iconic psychedelic artwork and includes the detailed liner notes inside. The vinyl shows signs of play with some surface marks, but nothing that seems too severe from a visual inspection. Overall, it’s a cool collectible for fans of Frank Zappa, early psychedelic/experimental rock, and 1960s vinyl history.
