Description
The Mothers of Invention - UNCLE MEAT
This is an extremely rare copy of Uncle Meat. It's the original UK pressing from 1969 which was released on the small independant Transatlantic records label.
In the UK at this time, Reprise albums were pressed and distributed by Pye Records, but they apparently would not have anything to do with this unmusical freaky racket. Bizarre/Straight made a deal with Transatlantic to release Uncle Meat in the UK until Reprise got a new UK distributer sorted out. So although there are many later reissues of this album available this particular pressing is quite rare as Transatlantic didn't have the marketing clout of a larger label (which is also the reason there was no booklet included)
Another point of note is that on side A track 3 is listed on the label as "400 Day of the Year" but on the sleeve as "9 Types of Industrial Pollution".

The vinyls are in very good condition.The purple and white inner labels ar ealso in very good condition. The sleeve has some wear to the spine and in general but still good for its age (see pictures)
