Description

An original 1968 1st mono press of MOVE on the Zonophone label. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1R/2R. Note the labels mention 'Sold In The UK' - this must be present on a genuine 1st press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with flipbacks. We also have the original generic white 'patents applied for' inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a few very insignificant marks per side per side - nothing that will trouble this heavy-set mono pressing. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Lovely quite intros and inbetweens and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A great little player delivery energy and great detail. Not perfectly quiet, but getting pretty close. I like it! It plays at a level most folks will find very agreeable. Just a few crackles in one isolated spot per side. Can't knock it really. It plays clean into the quieter moments. They pressed great records in the sixties - they were built to last.
Cover (Ex-) A lovely clean and shiny front with just a couple of minor creases. The rear is laminated which has preserved to it to a high level. A couple of minor creases down in the bottom left and a touch of wear in the middle of that top flipback. Edge wear is relatively minor. The spine is fully intact with just a bit of stress creasing on the edge. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
