Total pressing of 305 numbered copies. The first 97 sets (both LP and 7") were pressed on milky clear vinyl (numbered #001 to #097 ) and then 208 black vinyl sets (numbered #98 to #305). THIS IS THE BLACK WAX VERSION AND IS #172. The LP comes in an extra-heavy casebound sleeve. The 7" also came in a picture sleeve. The LP also came in a Japanese semi-circular clear anti-ststic sleeve. The track sides switch back and forth between the LP and the 7" as follows:

All LPs are taken out of the sleeve, if the LP is not sealed, to avoid seam splits during shipping. I use brand new LP mailers and bubble wrap for all items.

When it comes down to it, the New Blockaders are the most absurd out of all the original U.K. noise artists . Led by Richard Rupenus, what exactly are the New Blockaders remains a bit of a mystery. Often times he sends source sounds to others to manipulate (as on the massive 8 LP New Blockaders tribute boxes on Vinyl On Demand). His live performances are masked mysteries although its speculated that Rupenus himself is never actually present. So we have a highly composed cut-up noise artist who may or may not actually do anything in the name of Anti-Music, releasing broken records that could never be played on any player. Regardless of any information or disinformation the track record of releases that CAN be played are highly constructed pieces of composition. Frequencies stretch to insane levels and blasts and silences collide with sheet metal sounds and who knows what else. I’ll confess that I’ve never heard anything by Das Synthetische Mischgewebe but this release, musically stands with the best of anything I’ve come across by TNB. The cuts, the source sounds and the recordings are all bright and clear. Rarely has TNB been so sharply sculpted as the sounds take on a more modern composition feel as opposed to a junk pile assault. Any fans of the Mego label should take note of this release as its fits in closer to the European vanguard than U.S. scum tactics. Spread throughout a LP and 7”, the packaging is all above par as well, so hats off to the Equation label for the top-notch production. You know, if any artist in this vein deserves to have another essential release to their belts its TNB. Noise record of the year? Art record of the year? Play it in a museum or in a dingy basement it works.
