Description

The New Scene of King Curtis Prestige New Jazz 8237 MONO RVG purple label first pressing with Nat Adderley, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers and Oliver Jackson. LP is VG+ and an original mono RVG stamped first pressing LP and also has a VG+ cover. This one sure to go fast so get your bids in early, cover is also VG+ with some mild age spotting top rear right. King Curtis only made 2 jazz LP's in his life this is the first of them and the other one was called Soul Meeting, try to find that one, will not be too easy and has the great Sam Jones on bass. This is the original, mono deep groove first pressing of this classic date from 1960. Dig Paul Chambers solo on In a Funky Groove on Side 2.
